October 7 is Walk to School Day. This year the theme is "Be Safe, Be Seen". Students are encouraged to wear bright colors. Students that ride a bus will have the opportunity to walk the school perimeter as soon as they arrive with teachers overseeing them. We are excited to give every student an opportunity to walk!
PEP classes begin Thursday, October 8 and will be held on Thursday through January. Click here to see the entire 19 week schedule. The classes will be held in the Rockledge Elementary School library from 6:30pm - 8:30pm. Please click here for a form to register.

Prince William County Public Schools Regulation 758-1 states, "Reasons for which a child may be sent home from school or for a parent to keep the child home from school: Fever of 100ºF and over - exclude until student has been fever-free for at least 24 hours." Students must be fever free without medication for at least 24 hours. Also, "Diarrhea or vomiting - exclude until student has been symptom-free for at least 24 hours." If your child has one or more of these symptoms, fever, vomiting or diarrhea , they need to stay home from school. If a child is sent to school and has experienced any of the above symptoms within the last 24 hours, a parent will be called to pick the student up from school. We appreciate your assistance with this matter. You may refer to the above PWCPS Regulation by clicking here or looking at the Rockledge Parent Handbook sent out in the first day packets.
